Clemson will officially open a new composites lab made possible through a partnership with ENGEL at the Clemson University’s International Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR) in Greenville, SC. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will be followed by a technical demonstration and working lunch.

Founded in 2007, the Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR) is home to the nation’s first graduate and undergraduate programs in automotive engineering, more than 20 world-leading corporate partners, and research infrastructure to lead the future of the mobility industry.

Founded in 2015, the Clemson Composites Center (CCC) is a full-spectrum research and development facility with state-of-the-art equipment and infrastructure located at CU-ICAR. By partnering with industry, the CCC aims to develop and commercialize cost-effective, sustainable lightweight material technologies from fundamental research to the manufacturing floor.
