Clemson University’s first Bosch fellow is an automotive engineering graduate student who shares her knowledge of engines and love of learning from the classroom to the NASCAR track.
Vismita Sonagra was named Bosch fellow in a celebration Monday at the Clemson University-International Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR). Vismita Sonagra was named Bosch fellow at the Clemson University-International Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR). Sonagra will receive $20,000 and will be encouraged to continue her outreach to boost K-12 education in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).

Preliminary design work has started for a 75,000-square-foot building with 22,000 square feet of high-bay research space at the Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research. The Research One building has a projected cost of $9 million, according to the architect, LS3P of Greenville.
Greenville Tech and Clemson have announced that with Greenville County schools as a partner they “plan to integrate K-20 students” in innovative models of training, coupled with traditional dual-enrollment programs, tours and camps when the center opens in 2015.
