The Original Equipment Suppliers Association (OESA) and South Carolina Automotive Council (SCAC) invite suppliers and industry guests to attend the OESA/SCAC 2019 South Carolina Regional Supplier Meeting on May 16, 2019, at the Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR) in Greenville, S.C. Attendees will hear the latest trends impacting the North American light vehicle supply chain including updates on trade and tariffs, automotive production in Mexico, and insights into Volvo Car USA’s South Carolina operations.
Catherine Boland, vice president, legislative affairs, Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA), will provide an update on issues impacting suppliers in Washington, D.C. Topics will include an update on the United States -Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), tariffs impacting the automotive supply chain, and how the MEMA D.C. team advocates in DC on behalf of suppliers.
In addition, Doug Donahue, principal and VP of business development, Entrada Group, will share insight on opportunities in Mexico for American auto suppliers. Bill Rinna, director, America vehicle forecasts, LMC Automotive, will share the latest LMC Automotive North America automotive outlook.
The day will conclude with an update from Volvo Cars USA by Sten-Ole Svensson, senior director purchasing. Svensson will offer insight into current and future Volvo plans as well as potential opportunities with Volvo Car USA.
